Mother's Day / by Kendall Whiteley

Happy Mother's Day to all of you beautiful, caring, hard-working, and loving mothers out there!

A few months ago we began collaborating on a special styled Mother's Day session with some incredible vendors. We wanted to showcase the most important relationship in a young girls life + one of our favorite relationships to witness: the mother-daughter relationship. To pour as much emotion as we could into this styled session, we decided to allow our real life moms to choose a favorite wedding dress from The Loveliest to model. Who wouldn't become overwhelmingly happy while being with their dolled-up daughter, while wearing a gown that reminds you of another one of your favorite days?! We wanted to document the raw emotion, natural happiness/giddiness, and affection shared between the duos. Remember, your little girl is only little for so long but your mother will always be with you.

We chose three beautiful real life mother-daughter duos that we have worked with before, who we absolutely admire for being such incredible mothers! {Kayla is the mother of Willow and has another little previous bean on the way! Kim is the mother of Kinsley and also has a little boy, Kason, who is the sweetest! Larah is the mother of Ava and has a newborn baby girl named Sage!} It became very important for us to ensure the mothers had the best experience being able break from the craziness of every day life and focus on themselves + their daughters. We truly hope that the mothers and daughters will cherish these moments forever!

We had our fabulous hair and make up team, Whitney Evans & @amandasoliday, pamper our mother-daughter duos. The wedding gowns the mothers are wearing were chosen from The Loveliest, Anna helped us choose the best fits for our mothers! The fabulous flower girl dresses the daughters are wearing were custom-designed, handmade by an absolutely incredible woman named Tannia who is the owner of Belle Threads. The adorable flower crowns the daughters are wearing where handmade by Sydney who is the owner of Peekaboo Petals. Finally, The venue we chose was Candoro Marble Works in Knoxville. A huge thanks to everyone involved!
