Hodge Wedding / by Kendall Whiteley

We have been SO far behind on blogging and we feel horrible! We can not go another day without sharing this amazing wedding with you! You do not want to miss this one!

How do you pull off such a cool, bohemian inspired yet eclectic wedding in the backwoods of good old Tennessee? Ask rad, barefoot bride Kara because she sure as hell pulled that off. On their wedding day, Kara & Nick were blessed with perfect weather (which is hard to come by lately!). Kara is not your average bride and that is what we loved about her the most. She chose to incorporate unique flowers & succulents, non-traditional aspects, funky colors, and even feathers! We really loved seeing it all come together + we are ALWAYS glad to see a bride staying true to their own personal style!

Kara included a few emotional yet heart-warming touches to her wedding day. One special touch is her wedding band, which is her late mothers stunning sapphire. Another was doing a first look with her brother instead of anyone else. It was definitely a sweet moment. Kara lost her best friend, Channon, tragically in 2007 so Kara chose to honor her during the ceremony by each bridesmaid putting a rose in Channon’s spot. The bouquet that was gathered by those roses was then gifted to Channon’s father. These are the moments that a couple will never forget.
