"We love because it's the only true adventure."
We met these two in October 2015 when I scheduled a couples session with us. Tyler and Eric used to be high school buddy, small world, but we all met officially at that session. We all immediately clicked! Little did we know that a few weeks later they would be calling us to set up engagement pictures. We felt honored to shoot their engagement session AND over the moon excited that they wanted us to shoot their wedding. Courtney and Eric spent 2016 and that the majority of 2017 planning their perfect wedding. During that time, they also accomplished other major life goals together. They finished school, started new jobs, bought a new house, and (of course) went on many other adventures together!
On October 20, on a perfect fall afternoon, these two were finally wed under a beautiful grist mill at the Museum of Appalachia. We loved the simplistic yet thought-out details of their wedding day. The greenery, with pops of white, complemented perfectly with aged wood and brick at the venue + the other muted tones made those important details pop. Right after the emotional first look (Courtney was stunning!!) with her bridesmaids, her bridesmaids gifted Courtney with an album full of memories and handwritten letters (AKA we all cried). Right before Courtney saw Eric, she gifted him a very special ring with the coordinates of the museum engraved on it- a place he will, of course, never forget.
