Our first same-sex wedding celebration was nothing short of a fairy-tale, literally. Ben and Elijah wanted their wedding day to represent their very own fairy-tale love + their love for traditional fairy-tales and all things whimsical. What better way to do that then getting married in a real life castle?
There was not a more perfect location than the WilliamsWood Castle in Knoxville for this celebration. From the stone walls, to the gargoyles, to the grown up forests surrounding the grounds, to the stunningly romantic and detailed decor in all the rooms, we felt as if we were IN the fairy-tale.
Ben and Elijah's ceremony, surrounded by their closest friends and family, was the one we will never forget. Their officiant blessed their marriage with gold glitter and sage. Directly following the ceremony, we headed to the front of the castle for a lantern ceremony to represent the friends and family who are no longer with us. At the end of the day, the newlyweds were sent off with falling rose petals. Seeing their love story come true + seeing their inspirations from their favorite movies and bookscome to life was a dream. We loved witnessing the love, support, and happiness that this beautiful couple has!
